Fine Arts

Hilary Kennett and Maggie Lloyd are back on the Lindfield Arts Festival arts team this year and are looking for more local professional and amateur artists to exhibit. We are excited to announce that we will be exhibiting artwork over the festival weekend in the new school hall at Lindfield Primary Academy once again. This is an amazing gallery style space with loads of natural light and a perfect setting to display the artwork of our local professional and amateur artists.

Many of the shops on the High Street will be displaying samples of the works in the exhibition, and some artists will be opening their studios in our arts trail.  Two artists are Georgina Moir and Brett Hudson.  Examples of their work is shared here.

If you would like to exhibit on 9th & 10th September, please email, together with a couple of photos of your work, for details:

A Plastic Free Festival?

Ditch the plastic!

Can Lindfield Arts Festival be a plastic free weekend?  We’ll try and with the help of Aquapax water for volunteers and VIP visitors we will go along way to showing Mid Sussex that we care not only about the environment but also about the quality of the water.

Aquapax is a ‘local company’ conceived and residing here in Mid-Sussex

Aquapax is one of the purest natural mineral waters on earth (suitable for infants) with a near perfect 7.065pH low mineral balance.

It is safely packaged inside lovingly designed (beautiful) and ecologically sensible, BPA free, paper cartons. Pure fresh water heals and transports vitamins, minerals, oxygen, enzymes, hormones and glucose to the body’s cells to ensure they function properly. It gives us energy and ensures our cells can function, reproduce and repair properly!

Sadly, poor quality water can have the opposite effect, while toxins leaching from plastic bottles can defeat what we’re trying to achieve through drinking ‘fresh’ water.  Like fresh air, pure fresh water should have no taste whatsoever and anything you can taste is your tastebuds detecting something that should not be there.

If you really want to detox your body, drink pure, drink Aquapax and taste the difference!  #BPAfree #LeachFree #ditchtheplastic 🙂

Winner of the coveted International QATRAH award ‘Best Bottled Water’ Aquapax is the preferred pure mineral water of discerning people around the world. Amazon now delivers across Europe, however, if you can’t get Aquapax where you live, reach out and say hello… write to: hello[at]aquapaxwater.com

A big thank you to Neil Tomlinson for your generosity.

Don’t forget to put the dates in your diary – 8th, 9th and 10th of September 2017 to visit Lindfield Arts Festival.

Mutant Toys or just a bit of hacking?

Have you ever watched Toy Story and thought that mutant toys were awesome? Lindfield Arts Festival 2017 will give you the opportunity to bring an old toy to a Toy Hacking Workshop on 9th September and make it new. Everything will be supplied but you are encouraged to start saving your old toys to transform them into hybrids.

Children can turn abandoned, tired and unloved toys into downright bonkers and truly unique creations. Lindfield Arts Festival will have a stand on Village Day where there will be a collection point for old toys to be hacked during the Festival!

Special sponsorship packages are available if your business would like to contribute to the local community Festival.

Local Coop Community Fund

Something very exciting is happening alongside the new branding of the local Coop Stores in and around Lindfield, Cuckfield and Haywards Heath.

For those of us with a loyalty card, we can now earn a 5% bonus on all Coop purchases, and the Co op will then give 1% of what we spend on its products to local community projects selected by Co op stores near our homes. You can choose which cause your own 1% goes to. If you don’t, it’s shared out between the causes of your nearest Co op.

At the moment Lindfield Arts Festival and Time 4 Children are the two local projects of choice.
